Join the Bedford Central Library for the 2nd Annual Welcome Spring Event! There will be a variety of family-friendly activities throughout the day, both inside the library and outside in the Wharton Gardens (weather permitting), including…
- A Drum Circle (10 AM to 11 AM in the Garden)
- Theatre Games with Storyteller and Actor Richie Cannaday (3 45-minute Sessions)
- K-3rd Grade at 12 PM: The Building Blocks of a Story – Kids will play fun circle games and icebreakers designed to illustrate the components of their favorite stories!
- 4th Grade – 8th Grade at 1 PM: World Building 101 – Kids will work together to create settings for simple stories to grow into sprawling epics!
- All Ages at 2 PM: This ain’t your traditional Zip Zap Zop; it’s a new spin on the old classic game that will keep all players on their toes! How long can you last?
- Carnival Games
- Art & Crafts (In Person & Take N’ Makes) with the Library and the Bower Center
- Animals with the FFA
- Picnic Snacks & Snow Cones
- Pinwheels for Prevention Activity with the Bedford Women’s Club
- UVA Skin Cancer Awareness Table + Sun Safe Story Times & Crafting at 1 PM and 2 PM
- Mindful Me Activity with the 4H Cooperative Extension
- Flower Pounding Activity with the Master Naturalists
- A Family Friendly Movie (Charlotte’s Web – 2007) with popcorn at 1:30 PM inside in the Bedford Room

No registration is required (arts & crafts & some other activities may be limited due to supplies).
