SUMMARY:Day Camp at Claytor Nature Center
DESCRIPTION:The Navigating Nature program will help your child foster a sense of environment awareness and build valuable outdoors skills. Throughout this day-long program\, they will teach students how to identify sources of water and build makeshift survival filters\, how to build a warm and water-resistant shelter\, how to read a compass and make a map\, and how to gather appropriate tinder material for building a fire. The day will conclude with a survival challenge game where children put their skills to the test. The survival challenge will require teamwork\, planning\, and creativity and is sure to be a memorable experience!\nThe program will take place at several locations along the trail system.
