DESCRIPTION:During this summer’s one-day mini-camp\, rising first\, second\, and third graders will travel back to June 1944 to explore the most important events of the month\, from the capture of Rome to D-Day to the Battle of Saipan! The National D-Day Memorial’s team of educators will lead a diverse array of fun\, educational activities at sites across the Memorial\, including the Education Quonset Hut and the Victory Garden.\nCamp will meet from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM.  Snacks included.\n$30 per day. SUMMARY:Family Hike at Falling Creek Park
DESCRIPTION:This is a family friendly hike that will start at the Bike Park at Falling Creek. When you get to the roundabout go left where the sign points to “pumptrack/bike park”. The hike will be about 2 miles consisting of easy singletrack trail and grass paths with the option to go further. Bring hiking shoes\, appropriate clothing\, snacks\, and water. A backpack or bag is helpful to carry supplies. There will be some drinks/snacks provided. Dogs welcome but must be on leash. If you have bicycles bring them to the bike park to ride afterwards\, its tons of fun!
