DESCRIPTION:This is a series of FREE family friendly skill clinics to learn outdoor skills! \nAll ages and skill levels are encouraged to participate!\nWhether you are a casual hiker\, weekend warrior\, or serious outdoorsmen\, live in the country or the city\, these soft and hard skills are universal to survive and thrive in any given scenario\, whether it be just daily living\, recreational camping\, or wilderness survival.\nWe will meet at Independence Park in Bedford at the main shelter. The session will start at 6:00pm\, feel free to come early and eat dinner and explore the park beforehand.\nSome of the topics they will cover:\nH2O and human health/nutrition\nsurvival situations and terrain\nWater sources\nWater filtration methods\nChemical\nCartridge filters\nSolar\nPlants\nPros and cons of each\nWater storage\n \nThese sessions are led by Lee Wittekind\, Bedford Co. Parks and Rec’s Outdoor Event and Outreach Coordinator.
