Delmus Phelps, of Lynchburg Virginia has been an active painter since the mid 70’s creating works in the Realist tradition.

Being inspired by the nature around him and in things we tend to collect. Delmus produces still life and floral oil paintings in the Classical/Contemporary Style on canvas and panels. With a particular interest in sharp focus realism, he produces still life works of incredible detail. His floral pieces exude a peace and serenity much needed in today’s hectic lifestyles.

His goal, as an artist, is to provide his customer with an aesthetically pleasing picture. He also does an occasional landscape after riding his motorcycle through the Blue Ridge Parkway. These landscapes also reflect the beauty he sees in so many things. With Corporate and Private Collectors (some international) his art is well received. He also has a teaching website that explores the many processes used in both today’s paintings and yesteryear. Delmus uses a 14th Century Flemish, multi-layered technique to produce his work. He is represented in several Central Virginia Galleries and on the web. His works will be enjoyed for generations.
