Wharton Garden
The family friendly Wharton Garden located behind the historical John Wharton house located at 309 N. Bridge St., Bedford VA. The Wharton Garden has been in existence for more than 25 years and is free and open to the public. Spend some time looking at the beautiful plants and flowers. Children will enjoy the very popular three bears carved from trees, playing on the Turtle Climber, reading the children’s storybook along the reading walk and learning about pollination in the Pollinator garden. There is also a play cottage, human-sized chess board, see-saw, musical garden, and even picnic tables!
