Scenic Courses Make Bedford the Ideal Destination for Disc Golfers

Disc golf is one of the fastest growing outdoor activities in America, and Destination Bedford is the undisputed hub of disc golf excitement in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
There are five public courses and a Pitch & Putt area in Bedford County available to play for free. These beautifully maintained courses offer a variety of terrain, from beginner and family-friendly to advanced. The newest course, located at the New London Business and Technology Center , was designed by World Champion Disc Golfer, Paul McBeth. New London played host to the 2024 PDGA Pro World Championships, welcoming hundreds of professional players from around the world.
There is a burgeoning disc golf culture in Bedford County. A local club maintains a social media page that brings people together to share stories, photos, tips and news on upcoming events. Local, regional and national tournaments are beginning to discover the top-notch facilities and community support found in Bedford.

2025 Disc Golf Pro Tour Championship
From October 16–19, 2025, Bedford County will welcome visitors from near and far to experience the incredible skill and excitement of some of the world’s top professional disc golfers.
The 2025 Disc Golf Pro Tour Championship will take place at New London Tech Disc Golf Course and Ivy Hill, two premier courses that promise thrilling competition and a memorable fan experience.
