October Lunchbox Lecture
- This event has passed.
October 25, 2018 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
During WWII, tens of thousands of American airmen were held in German POW camps. Many received from the YMCA and the Red Cross a blank journal called “A Wartime Log” to record their thoughts, paste photos, or preserve sketches. Sgt. Robert Folk was one such prisoner; his journal, now in the D-Day Memorial collection, gives an important glimpse into life in a German Stalag. Director of Education John D. Long will reveal, for the first time publicly, what Folk’s unique vision can teach us. The program is free and open to the public.
