Revelle Hamilton – A native of Locust Valley, NY, Revelle Hamilton began her career as a fashion designer (1960-1984) after graduating from the Fashion Institute of Technology in NY, she moved to Bedford, VA in 1980.

She studied watercolor painting with Eloise Gardiner Giles at the Huntington Township Art League on Long Island   for three years. She has since taken workshops with nationally known artists yearly. In addition to water media, she also paints in oils, acrylic, dry and oil pastels. She has been included in numerous exhibitions and has won awards in juried shows.

She began teaching watercolor in the early 1980’s at the Lynchburg Academy of Fine Arts, at Studios in the Square in Roanoke, the Sedalia Center and has taught classes in drawing and watercolor at the Bower Center in Bedford as well as her home.  She serves on the Bower Center board and exhibition committee.
