Commemorating D-Day ~ 73rd Anniversary

Honor the valor, fidelity, and sacrifice of the service members who participated in the Normandy Invasion 73 years ago.
A special ceremony at 11:00 a.m. at the National D-Day Memorial will feature keynote speaker Jerry Yellin, a WWII pilot who flew the final combat mission of the war, during which his wingman was the last man killed in combat.
There will be special music by the 29th Division Band, a P-51 flyover, special art display of D-Day veteran Ugo Giannini sketches from WWII, a booksigning by Jerry Yellin and Maxine Giannini, and an afternoon concert by the Enduring Freedom Honor Team.
Admission is free all day; gates open at 10 a.m. and the Memorial will remain open until 9 p.m.
