Join us at the Welcome Center as we celebrate National Travel & Tourism Week! Every destination has a story to tell about its unique offerings, and NTTW is a great opportunity to showcase some of what Bedford has to offer. On May 9, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m., the Bedford and Forest Farmer’s Markets will be on-hand with information about the 2018 season, and Appleseed Country Johnson’s Orchard and Gross Orchard will provide samplings of some of their goods. Bedford County Parks & Recreation will have information about upcoming events and trips, as well as set up a little game of disc golf so come test your skills and learn more about our parks, trails, and disc golf courses located throughout Bedford County.
The Welcome Center/Dept of Tourism will also have a table with the chance to win a prize as well as learn about volunteer opportunities. We’ll also have a drawing for a chance to win a pair of tickets to the Peaks of Otter Winery‘s Horse & Hound Wine Festival in July!
This is free and open to the public. Guests are encouraged to bring a lunch and enjoy the outdoor picnic area behind the Welcome Center (there’s a great view of the Peaks!) Please stop by and see what’s going on in Bedford!
