Experience a moment in American history at Poplar Forest’s 17th annual presentation of Conversations with Thomas Jefferson. Sit in on a private and wide-ranging conversation between Jefferson, as portrayed by actor Bill Barker, and one of his compatriots as they discuss their shared experiences as revolutionaries, political colleagues, friends and neighbors. Past guests have included Eliza Schuyler Hamilton, James Monroe and Andrew Jackson to name but a few. Presented in two performances only:

Matinee performance at 2:15 p.m., preceded by a reception at 1:30 p.m.

Evening performance at 7:30 p.m., preceded by a reception at 6:30 p.m.

Tickets for the matinee performance include a pre-theater reception: $32 for adults (over 16) and $14 for youth (ages 6 – 16). House tours can be added at the reduced rate of $9 per person.
