About Helen Hubler:
In 1992 Helen and her husband relocated to Virginia after many years in New York and New Jersey. She studied at The Art Students League and The National Academy of Design. Her concentrated study of oil painting and drawing began in 1963 and has continued throughout the years. This led to conducting workshops, doing commission work, and exhibiting in many solo and group exhibitions, and receiving numerous awards for her work.
An excerpt from her artist statement: “I’m fond of narrative (I love a good book!). My paintings and drawings are laced with narrative elements. If they do not suggest stories, there is often some psychological content. This is the case with inanimate objects. as well as with people.”
