The racks of bucks aren’t built to last, falling off every spring only to regrow each summer. They grow back more impressive than before. How do these amazing ornaments “know” how to grow? To find answers we’ll do a little exploring in the science of evolutionary developmental biology.

He holds a PhD in Neuroscience and Animal Behavior from Emory University. He is co-director of Radford’s Ecophysiology Research Lab, where his work focuses on the physiological and behavioral mechanisms that animals use to adapt to a complex world.
