The beautiful plantation-style Cloverlea Farmhouse at the Claytor Nature Study Center of Lynchburg College offers a stunning panoramic view of the Peaks of Otter and Blue Ridge Mountains. The original farmhouse dates back to the late 1780s, with additions and renovations over the years. The Cloverlea Farmhouse has 5 bedrooms for lodging, with 3-1/2 bathrooms, an updated kitchen, and spacious and comfortable rooms. The ground include the beautiful Virginia Claytor Memorial Gardens, traditional and contemporary boxwood and rose gardens, a wide garden staircase above a reflecting pool, and varied lawn spaces, all overlooking the Peaks of Otter. Altogether, the Cloverlea Farmhouse and ground provide diverse environs for your creative touch in event planning. It is open to the public for casual visits 7 days a week 8:30am to 5:00pm, and can be reserved for weddings, receptions, family gatherings, corporate and community events.
